2. Laser Cutting Process Principle and Influencing Factors
Laser application has been used in China for nearly 30 years, using a variety of different laser equipment. The process principle of laser cutting is that the laser is shot out from the laser, passes through the optical path transmission system and finally focuses on the surface of raw materials through the laser cutting head. At the same time, auxiliary gases with certain pressure (such as oxygen, compressed air, nitrogen, argon, etc.) are blown in the action area of laser and material to remove the slag of the incision and cool the action area of laser.
The cutting quality mainly depends on the cutting accuracy and the cutting surface quality. The cutting surface quality includes: notch width, notch surface roughness, width of heat affected zone, ripple of notch section and slag hanging on Notch section or lower surface.
There are many factors affecting the cutting quality, and the main factors can be divided into three categories: first, the characteristics of the machined workpiece; Second, the performance of the machine itself (mechanical system accuracy, working platform vibration, etc.) and the influence of the optical system (wavelength, output power, frequency, pulse width, current, beam mode, beam shape, diameter, divergence angle, focal length, focus position, focal depth, spot diameter, etc.); The third is the processing process parameters (feed speed and accuracy of materials, auxiliary gas parameters, nozzle shape and hole size, setting of laser cutting path, etc.)
